Plans for new homes in Sheffield City Council
The proposals involve redevelopment of land where houses have already been demolished.
Areas affected include Mansel Crescent, Deerlands Avenue, Lytton Road and Falstaff Road in Parson Cross, three areas in Shirecliffe, and land at Earl Marshal, Fir Vale.
There are also large sites on the Arbourthorne, Park Hill, Manor, Manor Park and Norfolk Park which will be redeveloped.
A report to Sheffield City Council cabinet says: “The selection of a preferred bidder and establishment of the Sheffield Housing Company will mean that a vehicle has been put in place to deliver in the region of 2,300 new homes on predominantly brownfield land across Sheffield which has been derelict for years. The programme will provide new high quality homes for sale, shared ownership and rent, in areas where regeneration is needed most.”
The Council will establish a Sheffield Housing Company, through which the Council will work with a developer(s) to construct the homes.
